Privacy & your data choices
Your account and recruitment information
We use your account details, profile, uploaded media, applications and conversations to provide the platform. Your exact birth date, email and private documents are excluded from public player discovery. Public adult profiles require your publication choice. Completion and verification are separate.
Visibility and media
Choose public, restricted or private video visibility. Public media is available with an eligible published profile; restricted footage is available to its authorized audience. Originals are stored privately and processed into playback copies. Check your profile preview and media settings before sharing.
Football CV sharing
Your documents are private to you and authorized staff or an assigned adviser. You may separately choose to share your current PDF football CV with eligible recruitment viewers: complete club or agent accounts with a current paid plan. Sharing never includes passports, contracts or other supporting documents, and minors’ CVs are excluded. Uploading a replacement does not share it automatically. You can stop future access in Documents. Access is checked each time a CV is opened; copies already opened, saved or downloaded cannot be recalled. Remove personal addresses, identity numbers, exact birth dates and third-party contact details before sharing.
Agent-prepared player information
An agent who has permission may prepare a private player file containing contact details, a private birth date, football information, a photo and footage. The matching verified player account must approve representation and choose its permissions. Accepting an invitation does not publish or replace the player profile; proposed profile changes and selected media need a separate player review. Players can change permissions or revoke representation in their dashboard. Public representative details appear only with the player's choice on an eligible public profile.
Reviews and retained records
Authorized staff can review professional licence information and guardian permission. Guardian identity, relationship and permission evidence must be reviewed before an agent can invite a minor or upload their media; minors remain outside public discovery. Private drafts, approval history and recruitment records are retained when representation is revoked or a subscription ends. Previously approved media remains under the player's sharing controls. Archiving is not deletion: contact us for an access, correction or deletion request, including for a player who has not created an account.
Optional analytics
Optional acquisition analytics are disabled until you enable them in Analytics preferences. Events exclude names, email addresses, message bodies and raw URLs. Raw event records use a 90-day retention window with scheduled daily cleanup; necessary account, recruitment and payment records follow their operational requirements.
Your choices and requests
You can edit your profile and visibility in your dashboard. Contact info@playabroad.eu for access, correction, export, deletion or privacy questions. Tell us the account concerned through a private channel; we may need to verify your identity. Payment records may require separate retention.
Service providers
The application uses Supabase for account, database and file services, Cloudflare Stream for configured video processing and playback, Stripe for payments and configured email services for transactional messages. External video embeds are served by their respective providers. Their availability and privacy controls also apply.
Official football feeds and YouTube
Official-channel video information is retrieved through the YouTube Data API. Video thumbnails may connect to Google's image servers when displayed. The highlights player connects to YouTube after you choose to load it. These requests can share your IP address and device information with the provider, which may process playback activity under its own privacy policy. News older than six calendar months is excluded from public feeds and purged on a schedule; cached YouTube metadata is refreshed or removed within 30 days. This does not delete your own recruitment footage.
External video policies
YouTube viewing is subject to the YouTube Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy. You can use the publisher link instead of loading the embedded player. Optional PlayAbroad analytics preferences are separate from the video provider’s controls.
