What to check before booking a football service
Check the provider, scope, costs, cancellation terms and booking process before arranging football coaching or other support services.
Short answer
Start with the published service and the provider's identity. Ask for written confirmation of what is included, who will deliver it, availability, total costs and cancellation terms. A booking request is an enquiry, not a confirmed appointment or a payment. A service or verification badge does not guarantee recruitment outcomes.

Who is providing the service?
Check the business name, location and the person responsible for delivery. Ask for evidence relevant to the work, such as coaching qualifications or professional registration where applicable. Profile completion is not verification. A verification status does not replace your own checks or confirm every claim in a listing.
What exactly will I receive?
Ask for the session length or service period, location, delivery method, intended participant and any eligibility requirements. Agree which equipment, travel, accommodation or follow-up is included. For coaching, explain your current level and goals so the provider can confirm suitability before you commit.
What will it cost, and can I cancel?
A starting price is not necessarily the final total. Ask for a written quote showing the currency, taxes, additional charges, payment schedule, cancellation and refund terms. Confirm who receives payment and what happens if the provider changes a date or cannot deliver. Do not assume the platform subscription covers third-party services.
What happens after I request a booking?
On PlayAbroad, open a published service, complete your account profile and send a preferred date and a short description of what you need. The provider can review the request. Sending it does not take payment or reserve a place. Confirm the arrangement directly through the available recruitment or booking conversation before making commitments.
What information should I share?
Include only the information needed to assess the request. Do not put passport details, medical records, payment card information or private documents in the initial booking notes. Ask why additional information is needed and how it will be handled. If arranging support for a child, involve their parent or guardian and confirm the provider's safeguarding arrangements.
When should I stop and ask for help?
Pause if a provider guarantees a professional contract or immigration approval, pressures you to pay urgently, cannot explain the costs, or gives inconsistent identity details. Keep the listing and written correspondence, and contact the PlayAbroad team through the contact page. Selection belongs to clubs and immigration decisions belong to the relevant authorities.
